DR RIAAN JOUBERT
After completing his medical degree at the University of Limpopo in 2011, Dr Josua Adriaan Joubert completed his internship followed by his community service year at SAMS Wonderboom Sick Bay, a Military Hospital in Pretoria in 2014.
In that very same year, through his compassion for the musculoskeletal system and orthopeadics, Dr Joubert went on to complete his primary examination through the Fellowship of the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of South Africa: FC Orth(SA), at Sefako Makgatho University.
After completing an Advanced Trauma Life Support Course through the Institute for Aviation Medicine in 2015, as well as his intermediate examination in 2016, Dr Joubert also did an AO Trauma Course through the Johnson & Johnson Institute, which is led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
In 2018, after attending the SAOA Congress and presenting at the SAOA Registrar Congress in Pretoria, Dr Joubert finally completed his specialisation as an orthopaedic surgeon in October of 2018.
He enjoys family life with his wife and three children who support and encourage his profession and thus takes great consideration of his patients daily activities and needs in his decision making process.
With expertise in hip and knee arthroplasty, joint infiltrations, trauma injuries, limb deformity correction as well as hand and foot surgeries, Dr Joubert enjoys sports medicine.
