TRAUMA INJURIES

Depending on the complexity of the trauma, minimal injuries involving the upper or lower limbs may be treated with bracing and physiotherapy, while more complex and severe injuries will require minimally invasive surgery such as bone grafting, tissue reconstruction, internal fixation and arthroplasty.

While trauma injuries often cause fractured bones and damage to tendons, ligaments and other soft tissues, when possible Dr Joubert prioritises the conservative approach to treatment, opting for surgery only when truly necessary and taking both future considerations and the patient’s lifestyle into account.
